This page tracks average standardised monthly earnings of journalists (DISCO-08 2642) in Denmark. Standardised monthly earnings are average earnings for a full-time month (160.33 hours), including employee and employer pension contributions, holiday pay, bonuses and taxable fringe benefits but excluding overtime and sick pay, across all sectors and both sexes; private firms with fewer than 10 full-time employees are not covered. From 2024 Statistics Denmark records some pay, such as the free-choice account, when it is earned rather than when it is paid out, so 2023 to 2024 is not like-for-like, and year-on-year changes also reflect shifts in who is employed.
